Devgandharva Mahotsav
Celebrating 24 Glorious Years of Musical Excellence
A prestigious annual celebration of Hindustani Classical Music, Devgandharva Mahotsav was inaugurated after KGS completed 75 years of musical legacy. The festival is held every second week of December and has become one of the most anticipated events in the classical music calendar.
Over the years, the festival has hosted some of the most illustrious names in Indian classical music, including legends such as Late Khansaheb Abdul Karimkhan, Ustad Faiyaz Khan, Master Krishnarao, Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Smt. Hirabai Badodekar, Pt. Kumar Gandharva, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Smt. Kishori Amonkar, Smt. Prabha Atre, Smt. Malini Rajurkar, and many others.
Their soulful renditions have added a unique dimension to the festival, drawing diverse audiences and elevating the Mahotsav to new heights.
